Combine Raw CDC Files
Bring multiple CDC WONDER downloads into one organized workbook while keeping each raw sheet and its reference context intact.
A research workspace for CDC WONDER
WONDER Workspace is being built to reduce the repetitive work that sits between CDC WONDER downloads and a manuscript-ready analysis. The goal is simple: preserve the raw data, clean the tables, combine related worksheets, and prepare files for trend analysis without losing citations, caveats, or query context.
About the builder
Dr. Gurudharshan Rajamani is a physician and Madras Medical College graduate interested in Internal Medicine, patient-centered systems, and practical software that reduces repetitive work so clinicians can focus more fully on patients. WONDER Workspace is an early step in that direction, built to make public health data cleanup clearer, faster, and easier to review.
Features
These are the tools that are live now. More features are being added as the project grows.
Bring multiple CDC WONDER downloads into one organized workbook while keeping each raw sheet and its reference context intact.
Remove bottom notes from analysis tables, preserve citations separately, and keep only the columns needed for research work.
Build cleaned and unified worksheets that can be downloaded as Excel files or ZIP packages for the next stage of analysis.
Improve the workflow for smaller screens so researchers can review, clean, and prepare files more comfortably on tablets.
Generate structured files that are ready to import into the NCI Joinpoint Regression Program for trend analysis.
Create descriptive tables, trend plots, and publication-ready figures directly from cleaned CDC WONDER files.
